02 ยท Why these pathways

Signals that contributed to this recommendation

Aanya's profile shows a clear Investigativeโ€“Realisticโ€“Artistic (I-R-A) interest code. This combines a love for problem analysis, hands-on building, and creative design โ€” a strong fit for embedded and robotics roles. Her career adaptability is above average on Curiosity and Confidence, which means she's likely to thrive in exploratory early-career roles. Her self-rated skills in programming (Python 4/5) and circuit design (3/5) support a realistic path into embedded-AI, while gaps in cloud/DevOps and product communication define her 90-day focus.

08 ยท Risk flags & guidance
โš  MODERATE ยท CAREER CONCERN

Your "Concern" adaptability score is slightly lower than peers. This can mean you're under-planning for life after graduation. Coaching advice: schedule one 30-minute "future planning" session every 2 weeks.

โœ“ GOAL ALIGNMENT ยท STRONG

Your short-term goal (internship) aligns well with your long-term target (robotics / AI). No mismatch detected. Continue as planned.

Questions students & parents ask us

Every concern we hear, addressed honestly.

We know you're weighing time, money and a long-term decision. Use the tabs below to filter questions by audience.

Qยท01 ยท FOR STUDENTS
Isn't this just another personality test? How is it different?
+
Short answer โ€” no. We don't assign you to a "personality type" and leave. We combine four separate evidence-based frameworks: the RIASEC interest profiler (used by O*NET in the US), a Career Adaptability model (concern, control, curiosity, confidence), the WEF Future of Jobs skill trends, and the SFIA/ESCO competency vocabularies used by real hiring teams. The output is a skill-gap plan mapped to your course, year and goals โ€” not a generic label.
Qยท02 ยท FOR STUDENTS
I'm already in a specific branch โ€” can this still help me?
+
Yes โ€” in fact that's our most common case. The assessment helps you pick the right specialisation within your branch: a Mechanical student might discover they're a strong fit for robotics vs automotive design; a CSE student might realise backend systems suit them more than data science. We also handle the "wrong branch" case by recommending bridge pathways (for example, electrical โ†’ embedded-AI via firmware + ML) instead of forcing a dramatic switch.
Qยท03 ยท FOR STUDENTS
I don't know what I want. Will I get a useful report anyway?
+
That's the exact scenario the assessment is built for. You don't need a clear goal โ€” the RIASEC and adaptability sections will surface interests you may not have articulated yet. The report recommends a primary pathway plus two alternates, each with a 30-day starter plan so you can try one before committing. Most "directionless" students walk away with two realistic options after one session.
Qยท04 ยท FOR STUDENTS
What if the report recommends something my parents won't approve of?
+
We hear this often. The report is designed to be readable by parents โ€” every recommendation includes the "why" (which signals contributed), realistic salary/industry context, and a conservative alternate pathway. In addition, our counsellors offer a free family-discussion call (30 min) where we walk the parent through the findings in English, Tamil, Hindi or Arabic.
Qยท05 ยท FOR STUDENTS
How long does the assessment take?
+
Around 15โ€“20 minutes to complete, and the report is ready after expert review โ€” typically within 2 working days. You can save progress using your AssessmentID and resume later from any device.
Qยท06 ยท FOR PARENTS
Is the assessment scientifically credible, or is this just a commercial product?
+
The underlying models are grounded in established career-science frameworks: Holland's RIASEC theory, Savickas' Career Construction / Adaptability model, ABET student outcomes (engineering accreditation), CDIO (engineering education framework), SFIA (skills framework for the information age, used by industry), and ESCO (the EU skills taxonomy). We build original questionnaire items that measure those constructs โ€” we do not reproduce copyrighted test items. Every report is reviewed by a human expert before release.
Qยท07 ยท FOR PARENTS
Will this push my child toward non-traditional or risky careers?
+
No. The recommendation engine explicitly outputs a primary pathway plus two alternates โ€” typically one ambitious, one stable, one bridge route. You'll see industry data, employability signals from WEF and ILO, and a parent-friendly summary card showing salary ranges and entry-level role titles. Our job is to widen informed options, not narrow them to one risky bet.
Qยท08 ยท FOR PARENTS
How much does this cost?
+
The online self-assessment and PDF report are free for students. Paid tiers include: 1-on-1 expert counselling call (60 min), family discussion session, full JOSAA/TNEA choice-filling support, and end-to-end NRI admissions assistance. Please contact us on +91-9150426094 (India) or +971-50-516-8081 (UAE) for current pricing.
Qยท09 ยท FOR PARENTS
My child is under 18 โ€” can they take the assessment?
+
Yes, with parental consent. The assessment has a built-in minor-consent checkbox โ€” a parent or guardian must confirm before any data is stored. For minors we also store only the minimum fields needed (we skip optional items like phone number by default).
Qยท10 ยท FOR PARENTS
Can I sit in on the counselling session?
+
Absolutely. We recommend it. Career decisions in Indian families are typically collaborative, and the counsellor will tailor the conversation for a joint parent-student audience. We schedule the call at a time that works for both โ€” including weekends, which is why our office hours extend to Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Qยท11 ยท FOR NRI FAMILIES
We live in UAE. Can EduAakashaa guide my child through DASA admissions?
+
Yes โ€” this is one of our core service areas. We guide NRI and foreign-nationality students through DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad), CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf), Anna University NRI quota, VITEEE for NRI, Amrita AEEE, and the IIIT NRI seat matrix. Our UAE-based team (+971-50-516-8081) runs in-person sessions at our Dubai education hub.
Qยท12 ยท FOR NRI FAMILIES
My child studied IB / British curriculum. Does the assessment account for that?
+
Yes. The assessment is curriculum-neutral โ€” it measures interests, adaptability and skills, not your board. For NRI students we additionally layer on equivalency data (IB Diploma, A-levels, American high school diploma) when mapping towards Indian engineering admissions. You can specify curriculum during your counselling call.
Qยท13 ยท FOR NRI FAMILIES
Can the report be shared with universities abroad?
+
The report itself is not an accreditation document โ€” think of it as a personal career guidance document. However, several students have used it as a self-reflection artifact in their Statement of Purpose or university essay, and it has been well-received. We can also generate a shorter 1-page "summary card" for mentors on request.
Qยท14 ยท PRIVACY
Where is my data stored, and who has access to it?
+
Assessment responses are stored in a secured Google Workspace environment (Google Sheets for structured fields + Google Drive for the generated PDF). Access is limited to our counselling team and the assigned reviewing expert โ€” we enforce role-based permissions (Student / Expert / Admin). We do not sell or share data with third parties. Analytics are aggregated and anonymised.
Qยท15 ยท PRIVACY
Can I request deletion of my data?
+
Yes, at any time. Email info@eduaakashaa.com with your AssessmentID (shown on your report) and we will remove your row from our records within 7 working days. Consent is always opt-in โ€” you must actively check the consent box before any data is stored.
Qยท16 ยท PRIVACY
Do I have to share my phone number and email?
+
No. Phone and email are optional. We only use them if you want the report delivered to you or want follow-up counselling. You can complete the assessment with just a name and receive the report via a unique AssessmentID download link.
